In order to embrace Balinese tradition to the fullest, Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Cultural Park holds special daily events to introduce the island finest form of cultural art.
Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park showcase variety of activities including dance and visual shows through their daily program, one of them is the magnificent Kecak Garuda Wisnu. Held at the Amphitheater venue, Kecak Garuda Wisnu depicts the tale of Garuda’s journey as he seeks the legendary Tirta Amertha in heaven to heal his beloved mother Diah Winata. In the end, Garuda touched the heart of god Vishnu and become his divine ride. This epic saga is performed through magnificent theatrical dance of Kecak.
Incorporating a 240 hectare of area at Jimbaran Bukit peninsula, Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park aims to become one of the biggest tourism attractions in South East Asia through one-stop cultural amusement park filled with engaging traditional wonders.
At GWK Cultural Park, the Kecak Garuda Wisnu are done every 6 pm, along with several other performances; such as Barong Keris, and Rangda Traditional Dance, Joged Bumbung, Balinese parade with traditional outfit, and live music by Trio Acoustic.
